DESCRIPTION

Our Deeper with God is an advanced class in our Communion with God Track. This class is based on seven Christian disciplines described in the Bible and practiced by the early church. Learn to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength according to the life, worship, prayer and study patterns of early believers. Learn to live a life of interaction and communion with the presence of God.

Instructor - Jon Quesenberry

Jon Quesenberry is the Director of the Charlottesville House of Prayer and has an MDiv from Eastern Mennonite Seminary. He is gifted as a prophetic teacher. Jon’s life goal is the equipping the body for encounter with God and the cultivation of presence-centered community.

Course outline

Centering Prayer – Learn how to focus your mind for interaction with God.
Biblical Exegesis – Study the Word of God using original language & context
Authentic Worship – Learn biblical patterns and modes of worship
Listening Prayer – Learn how to have a interactive conversation with God.
Lectio Divina – Learn how to immerse your heart and mind in the Word of God.
Spiritual Perception – Learn to use the “eyes of your heart.” (Eph. 1:18)
True Fasting – Discover spiritual strategies for the greatest of all disciplines
